but you see, it's all very personal. I know some people who would love a grey interior. So it's just a matter of time, as your price is fair, I think, for a 2002 (glove compartment!!) and X50 optioned TT.

Funny you should mention that... I prefer grey over black, because I think my black seats in the past have always shown wear more. And, the grey stays cooler. I actually chose grey over black, didn't know it was actually a less desireable color

I'd consider shopping for extended transferable warranties... That may help alieve any issues prospective buyers would have... When I bought mine, It was a show stopper without an extended warranty... The dealer made me pay thru the nose for it, but the car is modified at 510WHP and Porsches were somewhat of an unknown entity for me at the time.

Paid $71K for my 2001 W/ the mods in the sig, and 9100Miles on the clock...

For what it's worth, my most ideal color for interior would actually be dark red, or even better the dark brown. It's so rare that I see one that it did not even cross my mind in this case, as I've resigned to look for black interiors.

I agree that black interiors can show its age easier, with shiny seating surfaces that look cheap, vinyl-like and worn down.

I don't mind about the grey interior but high milage kinda makes me worried since these cars cost a lot to fix when something goes wrong. Also, after reading some people's premature clutch failures on early models, I'm scared that I would need a clutch job after buying a car with 60k miles.

If that car ^^^ isn't on the market, it would make things a lot easier. My priority when shopping a used car is 1) milage and how much it has been used 2) Model year 3) Options. BTW, I think you price it right tho.

I have a 2003 M3 I'd trade for the X50, plus some cash of course. Mine has 31,000K and a boat load of tasteful mods.

I thought the point of the OP's sale was to get something more practical for a growing family. I'm not trying to screw up anyone's deal here but an M3 is not that much more practical for an expecting father than a TT.

I've been through child birth 3 times and the 3 series coupe back seats are not that child seat friendly. You should look at a 5 series, E series or an A6 at a minimum - IMHO. How about an E55?

Well, I went in to the dealer to trade in my car for a Cayenne Turbo. They offered me $45k for mine in trade, and couldn't look me in the eye. I promptly left the dealership.

In a fit of panic (my daughter's due date is tomorrow), I have now dropped the price to $59.9k. Holy cow, that hurts to write, considering how much money I have in this thing. Maybe it would be best to just keep it, and buy a minivan ? Here's the Ebay ad, with list of options and some more pics:

I empathise with your pain. My next TT will be a long time keeper as I will drive it 12k a year for I hope about 10 years.
Starting at about 35k miles, that puts me up to about 150k miles and little resale value at the end.
I had my 83 SC for 12 years and put 250k on the original engine. I loved that car, but gave it away at the end due to the mileage.
Still, averaged over 12 years, the cost of ownership was about $3k a year.
I know it will cost more to drive the TT and that unknown is what hurts higher mileage TT prices as well as the strong demand for 993s.
The 996 pricing is getting squeezed by the 993 and 997. Anyways you know all this.
I say keep your car and buy a used Volvo Turbo Wagon to drive the kids around in. I have a V70R that I love and they too depreciate like a rock over the 1st 4 years. Some good deals can be had on a 04 and they are a lot more fun than a mini van, that's for sure and safe for the kids.
