Think I'll drive my car for another 150,000 miles...by that time, I'll have to pay someone 60k to take it off my hands.

Sure, they'll be a few here and there, and some will get luck by finding it at the dealership. However, you'd have to find a dealership that f'&#$ someone on their trade-in. Hopefully, not too many X50 owners are trading in their cars for the 50's

I also think that most people know that they can top the performance of the x50 with some pretty easy/cost effective mods - especially when the x50 was like a $17k option. Anyway, I think it's a crime how low these prices have dropped....
But, (and this isn't a perfect match) Rennlist Ad Number 6009 is a 2002 Silver/black TT with about 60k on the clock and UMW Stage 2, Europipe, 19" Champions, factory aerokit and and a ton of quality mods for $61k. It is a tip so that's got to hurt resale value.
Here's a 2001 silver/black with 25k miles and probably $40-50K in quality modifications for $66k.

Here's a 2001 seal grey/black with 39k miles and full carbon interior for $59k (not x50).

I know none of these are x50 cars but I'm not sure there's too much of a premium for that. I'd rather spend my money on nice interior options and simply go for an EVOMS, IA or UMW upgrade kit.
Anyway, the spring weather (if it ever gets here) should bring some more buyers out. I say hold out for your price.

Thanks for taking the time to post those links, sorry if I came off as harsh, too. I just wanted to make sure we were comparing apples to apples. Glad to hear those aren't X50's, gives me some comfort. I think I'll wait a little longer for someone who appreciates the X50

OK, I decided to go with a 21 day fixed auction price instead:

Race Car
Talk to me
twasmer@ comcast.net
BTW: Mine only has 28k miles and over a year of BMW Warranty left. So it won't be the cheap *** POS's you see out there.
But maybe we can work something out. As yours has all the options I want except NAV. Like Sport Seats (a must for me)

Nice car, one of the best looking M3's I've seen! Good luck selling it, I hope you get a TT soon. After going through the numbers with you, I may have to just keep my X50 TT. Any lower than $60k, and I think I'd just rather drive the car into the ground myself
