If someone can guarantee me that the sound at highway speed (cruising speed) is exactly the same (or sooo close) to OEM, I would buy one.

I had the super sport 100cells before and I just wanted to Kill the car and myself... and btw, the exhaust now found itselft transformed into something else...

No aftermarket exhaust is going to be EXACTLY the same. But what I will gurantee is that the muffler does not drone at cruise. As Aaron posted on his car.

You can not compare this system to the SS or moderate that they use to make. They simply are not in the same league.

You might be a good candidate for a stock exhaust with switchable cutouts. Go to the QTP site.

The one thing I did notice above all else was how quiet it was cruising down the highway. Almost no noise at all until you accelerate...

I 2nd That.

When on the highway not accelerating, there is no noise at all. However, when accelerating the system if louder than the stock exhaust. That's was the main reason that I chose to upgrade to a sport system.

By the way.

Still Loving it!!!!!

Default OEM tips

Steve-

I just had my exhaust installed today got to finally hear it. WOW!!! Sounds awesome. FINALLY, my car doesn't sound like a girlycar.

I can't wait to drive it once the salt gets washed away in another month or so.

One question; I noticed that my OEM tips stick out further now that when I had my original exhuast by about 1". Is that supposed be that way or did my guy install it wrong? He said it was no bid deal except for the oxygen sensors were a little trouble due to tight space, but he said nothing unusual.

I had a Fabspeed generation 2 for a few months and actually started to avoid driving the car cause the drone became overwhelming once the exhaust settled in. I took it off and went back to stock. I bought a Generation 3 from Stephen at IA a few months ago and love it. After 1000 miles the exhaust is a tad bit louder in the 2000 to 2900rpm range but not enough to really change my feelings about the exhaust. People who drive with me in the car no longer complain. The car sounds better across the sonic range and performs better. Period. If you are in the market for an exhaust don't let the stories about Fabspeed drone turn you off cause the difference between the old and the new are night and day. Stephen at IA will take good care of you!

Default Steve, where are you?

Steve-

I've called your shop, left messages, tried posting PM's to you over at 6speed (oops, did I say a bad word?), have tried posts and am trying again.

Can you please respond to me before I decide to commit suicide?

I'm still dead in the middle of bodywork on my car and have some time left before I get my car on the road, but my OEM twin tips stick out like an afterthought vs. stock.

Your guy at your shop indicated that this is how it's supposed to be. If that's true, then fine, but I'd certainly appreciate hearing it from you????

Huh? I haven't gotten any messages from 6speed. You emailing "PorschePhD" ?? Because I don't see any PM..Sorry. I am not avoiding you, just no messages.

Yes, they will stick out about an inch or so farther. That is normal. Call me in the moring before 10:00 and I will be able to chat with you.

My version 3 sounds great. One issue is the tips are not perfectly in the middle of the opening. It is sticking about 1 inch out and it is also about 1 inch off center in relation to the opening---on both sides.

Is there a solution for this?
