Default Year differences

Question for the board, since a search failed to give me everything I needed. When purchasing a 996tt, is there anything significant between any of the years that one should be aware of. All the research Ive done has yeilded that output figures have been constant, and I haven't found any engineering upgrades at all. Any input here at all?

Second, living the the Northeast, when is the best time to buy a 996tt? I would assume the cold months, but not sure if that is even a factor.

Thx in advance.

As far as I know nothing changed @ all on the 996 TT w\ the exception of the stereo, which went to a Bose system in '02. What time of the year to make your purchase.......I don't think it matters one bit, Maybe for a cab it would be a diff. story.

MY01 was lighter by a hundred pounds or so, and had no glove box. Glove box was added in 02. X50 option was not available until 02 either.

'04 have the new engine case. Stronger bottom girdle-reinforced webs. However, the stock 996TT which is based on the 964 casting is strong and does not have any issues.

Have you looked at the Service Techniks?

goto the Porsche Techinfo site and select the country Sweden, then click Training Documents and from there you can select different Porsche models (911, Turbo, Boxster, Cayenne, GT) and you'll get list of Adobe .pdf files for each model year showing the differences from the year previous.

Prices definitely drop around here during the winter. For whatever reason (snow? dealer not making the yearly sales numbers?) the end of the year seems likes the the best time.
