Post New member/GT2 owner...

Hey guys i just wanted to introduce myself. My name is Steve, i'm 21 and have 3 semesters left at U Maryland. My parents live in Beverly Hills, CA and i'm out here visiting for the summer. My stepdad and i have always been car/bike nuts. I started racing MX bikes when i was 7 and since then have raced everything from dirt bikes to rock crawlers to F2000 cars and have worked as a general mechanic and also building competition roll cages and tube chassis. I personally own a Honda S2000 that i compete in AutoX with, but we're very much a "what's mine is yours" type of family. Anyway, we just bought a 2002 GT2 last week. We also own an SL55. Tomorrow we're taking the 2 of them up to Willow Springs for their first track day. Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself. I'll post up my impressions of the GT2 on the track as soon as we get back. Here are some pics of the GT2 and SL55...

I am also very interested in hearing your thoughts of the SL55 on the track. I expect a full report

i'll be driving the SL55, my stepdad will be in the GT2. However, i'm banking on the fact that he'll get scared by the GT2 and want to switch half way in.

we're just going in the beginner group with instructors because it's our first track day in either of these cars and we can't afford to destroy them So, i wouldn't expect great lap times. Hopefully later this summer i'll get the GT2 out on the track by myself to really flog it a little.

here's an old, bad pic of my S2000 if anyone's interested. We like silver cars
