Post Best options for Aftermarket wheels ?

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hey guys, I was wondering what people are running on their 996 Turbos as far as aftermarket wheels. What are the wheels of choice and where might I find them ? Thank you.

Of all the wheels that have been mentioned are equally comparable in terms of quality and strength. I have found HRE to be a tad higher in finishing and fitment/machining. Also very customer oriented and will accommodate any type of finish desired, along with custom machining. But it's mainly the finish that is the noticeable difference

Kinesis, HRE, Fikse are all quality wheel manufacturers which make very light and strong modular wheels. They all offer slighlty different designs and can all be ordered with custom painted/finished centers. It really comes down to personal preference on which style wheel you want -- you can't go wrong with any of the them. IMHO, a great source for wheels is Wheel Enhancement. They carry virtually every after market wheel made for Porsche, are very knowledgeable about the custom options/offsets each manufacturer offers and are very giving of their time and expertise. Another good resource for wheels is ByDesign. I think the key to getting want you want is finding a source that offers the greatest variety of product, so you can get a truly unbiased opinion on your various options.

Of course, my current favorite wheel for the 996TT is the Gemballa Competition model made by Speedline, but I'm clearly biased.

Any excuse to post a picture -- I have no shame....

Yep, that about says it all, honestly.

I believe that this is your car, Oak, with the HRE 540Rs? Beautiful rims for sure. It is sometimes hard to pull off the polished silver/chrome look on a silver car, but the HREs do it VERY well.

I ordered HRE 540R's from Wheel Enhancement and found Dave to be very knowledgable and helpful.Jack's car looks great with the Gemballa's. If I were to order again I would have a tough time deciding between these two.
Good luck choosing

Jack and Oak (by way of Ruiner), Both cars look great yet different.Any info on sizes and offsets would be appreciated. Shank, The Hamman PG3 are somewhat like Jacks Bemballa's but appear to have different offsets. Any info you may have on this would be appreciated. I have come to think that a stunning girl can look stunning with many different shoes, but, it is nice to admire the differences.

Ahhhh... let's not forget those gorgeous Cargraphic 19" wheels as well.

Or the Ruf ones for that matter...

I would have a hell of a time trying to decide between the Cargraphic racing wheel and Oak's HREs.

Ruf 19" wheel PIC..

For more info -- Ruf website Both ByDesign and Wheel Enhancement carry Ruf wheels.

Cargraphic racing wheel info can be found here

cargraphic wheel specs Can't locate a cargraphic racing wheel PIC right now -- perhaps Shank can help there.
