Thumbs up New Porsche in our garage!

Mrs. Cooper took delivery of a new 2003 C4S just off the delivery truck yesterday evening in Costa Mesa. We now have two four wheel drive Porsche's in the garage! I never thought she'd want to drive a Porsche as a steady but she's been hooked since Germany and when she drove a blast down the 15 Freeway in my car at 120 MPH......

She has an after-market Alpine GPS system fitted and it looks rather good. We tried to use it in the few moments we had yesterday evening but neither of us two geniuses realized the DVD wasn't in the drive!

Coolest feature of the new car is the switchable exhaust or "Sports Exhaust" system. There is a toggle on the dash that changes the exhaust from Sports to Standard mode. The default is Sports. IMHO the Sports sound is awesome, with NO RESONANCE. No horsepower claims just a mean little ripping edge to the exhaust note. This morning when she drove away I could hear her for about two blocks, the neighbors are gonna love it

One question, the car has the Porsche telephone module located on the right front console. The glove box door (something I don't have!) rubs the side of the telephone module. Is this normal? Does anyone else have this?

Watch out boys here she comes!

Congratulations Garey,

It is so nice your wife found the Porsche to be worthy. I am still trying to get my wife away from the rotary kick she has - this might be tough to do though!

Sorry I have been absent, been working in the bay area and quite busy.

take care and hope to see my Porsche family real soon!

take care

Hey Ricky; your wife's Rotary is one mean ride!

You're working to hard, as I am. I suppose it's the expensive hobbies?

Take care sir, hope to see you around.....

If you ever seriously want to get rid of the rotary let me know. I'm very interested. Got any specs on it?

Ah, this 1993 RX-7 is my wife's baby. We have a Redline Engineering motor, Racing Beat rotors (lightened and clipped), Racing Beat rotor housing and special machining, and a T04E turbo. We have lots of other stuff to conclude we make 403 rwhp at 14.2 psi. The tune is quite conservative too.

Here are some pictures of the RX-7 on this site:

sweet car, i've been lookin for a 7 for a few months now. I went and looked at one in No Cal that had a blown motor, guy wanted 9K, but the body was just in horrible condition. The only thing that's holding me back from picking up a more expensive one is my wish to get another Grand National into the family. Tough decisions, but it'll probally go rotary seeing that I like to take turns at high speeds

Here is a quote from my car-savvy wife:

"If someone wants it, I will trade it for a Boxster S - nothing less."

Here are the pics:

Let me know if you are serious in light of this.

To get this back on topic/thread...

What is the best exhaust system to get for a 2001 911 Carrera? I went to a little dinner party and saw an old friend with his 911. He is looking for a nice exhaust.

He absolutely LOVES his car. He was the one that was trying to convince my wife for me not to spend the extra $60k on a Turbo because there was no need for only 100 extra horsepower. About a year ago I gave him a "spirited ride" in the 911 Turbo. He was somber and impressed and said the money was well worth it. He wanted to know the difference between the NA and the TT. I heard later and at the party, I scared the hell out of him and he will NEVER ride with me driving again.
