AFR gauge install
Could someone explain how to connect an AFR gauge on an '02 996TT? Is there a brand that has a similar look and back lighting to the stock aluminum gauges and works well? What about mounting options - I would appreciate any input and pictures of installs.

Ok have to admit I'm getting one too. But has anyone considered the difference between the 5bar and the one that "kinda" adjusts itself?
PS install for me is easy............go to dealer with part and ask to put said part in!!!!!

Tom,
I think you are referring to the FPR (fuel pressure regulator) and my original post was about an AFR gauge (air/fuel ratio). My understanding is that they are tapped into the 02 sensor wiring above the quick disconnect, but I am not certain. If that is all it is, I would like to attempt to add one. If it requires drilling an additional bung, then there are more issues such as where to drill the hole, etc. I was hoping someone with experience would comment.

I don't know how to install an AFR gauge, but I do know you should get a wide band gauge in order to ensure accuracy. Many of the popular AFR gauges are not wide-band. I use the AEM gauge:

Good looking gauge Craig. I would like to get something like that mounted up on the steering column so I can keep an eye on it. Would be REAL nice to have a REAL boost gauge mounted there also - preferably built into the same gauge.

http://www.innovatemotorsports.com/ makes several good units that use the lsu4 sensor. Datalogging is also an option that is interesting. As to installation have a bung welded in before the cats and downstream of the turbos. That way you can keep the std sensors in place.
