There's a video of a 996TT vs a new M5, where the TT loses pretty easily: I assume it was a stock car. M5 pulled about 1/2 a car length for every gear he was in until 5 or 6 when he pulled about 1-1.5 car lengths. Not sure what exhaust & headers gives you. A re-flash would probably be more than enough, but it will be close & expect not to win.

Well, it was an M6 (lighter), not an M5. Still, the M6 got the car worse than I thought in 3rd/4th/5th gear, so i'd expect to lose by a margin.

With equal skill, I'd bet on the new M5. Unless you are a shift genius, the paddle shift will gain the BMW a few tenths on each shift.
Isn't 30KM still first gear? You'd need to shift in about one-half second, which is pointless. You will lose a full length right there.
Our cars stock won't even pull peak boost until 3rd gear. The speed range that would work better for you would be the middle of third gear to the middle of 5th. Anyting slower than 60 mph (about 100) is a disadvantage for you. Anything that uses 6th is also pointless. Make sure it's cool, and you have good fuel.
I'm not a modder, but why do the exhaust and headers without a re-program? Seems that the re-program is the effective and cheaper part of the equation. Maybe get that done first, unless it's hard to get in your part of the globe. AS

This thread is getting dangerously close to sounding like a conversation on the Subaru/Mitsu pages. "my STI is modded to max and I kicked a ferrari's *** racing thorugh NYC". It's your car to do as you please but doesn't a tt deserve better than street racing?
