I didn't believe that either until I saw it by myself. On my own car.

I took some pics of my wheels before a 2-3 days drive into the Alps. Here's the result:

front tire:
before: after:

rear tire:
before: after:

BTW, most of the roads were looking like this one:

Tires rotating is no new thing, it is usually happening during braking though.

I was one of the first members of 6speed and have made some great friends there. Yes, now there is much more "fluff" than ever. Everything good and bad posted in this thread is fact about the board... Many may not agree, but it is true about "kids", HP claims, Great people, etc...

I wish them well with the upgrade... That upgrade is long over due... The site has become so slow loading that it is painful (I hope it is not just a software upgrade)... I have many friends there... I'm sure once the 997TT hits, the board will be more informative as people mod away...

Good luck 2 my friends at 6speed...

6speed is an awesome forum and so is this one. Really the only two ones out there I frequent, I once upgraded a server and my system shut down for a week so hopefully they get all there issues resolved.

Good luck 6speed

6 speed is all bling, renntech is, well tech, flat six is flat, rennteam is very 'international', rennlist is old school and the best. They all have their faults, but 6speed is the worst. Her's my issue, a while back I posted an item in the fs section, then some numbnut admin actually saw fit to alter and amend my post to suit his own 13yo opinion, that is outrageous.

Hijacking the thread with this tidbit.....with R compounds on hollows I continually had problems with rotation (quickly out of balance) til I changed to Sliptac as a mount lube.........BTW, in my case, the rears drove forward in the tire......and the fronts slipped back in the tires.....so power on the rears (would move 2" in 45 track minutes ), and braking on the fronts.

BTW.....I share useless info like this on most any of the Forums inc 6speed

One racing trick for rotating tires is to drill 3-4 small holes on the leading edge of the rim and place sheet metal screws, that will stop the spinning, but only a track trick that works well.

I've been a member of 6-speed "FastForwardWheels" and I've met a good handful of these guys in person. I would certainly say that most of the riders have all the nice mods but to each his own, not everyone has the time or wants to track his P-car on the weekends. I respect those in both worlds and think that every site will have it's ups and downs some more than others. We at Pelican Parts have a very active forum which caters to mostly those air-cooled monsters. I wish we had more participation on the 996 side down there since I kind of get lonely......

Anyhow I'm sure 6-speed will be back in business in no time.....

Take care and hi everyone both 6-speed & Rennlist or both,

-Eli
