My car is not officially in hibernation yet, but for the time being it is
not looking good for my high speed blasts thru the country...

Yep, there's no such thing as the perfect car. There is only 'enough cars'. I have come to
the reasoned position that a person needs about 5 cars to be 'appropriately wheeled'
in most of the normally expectable circumstances.

Wife's daily driver (which is actually something you need and talk her into),
in my life it would be an Audi RS6 (for my wife of course), or a Cayenne TT...
cheers,

I would add an 'urban assault vehicle'. I want a short-wheelbase SUV-like
vehicle that will go off-road, that I can easily drive over median dividers,
curbs, and the landscaped berms at airports that separate the road from
paid parking.

My magic list might be:
1 - Street-registered track-event car.
2 - 996 TT
3 - Urban Assault Vehicle (offroad-capable, can double as tow-vehicle)
4 - Big silent Luxury tourer
5 - Anonymous-looking 'sleeper' for leaving in a parking lot anywhere
The last one is fun to ponder. I imagine a faded tan Mistubishi Lancer
(non-performance version) with as much EVO stuff added, or some
AWD minivan (older the better) tubbed and modded to run wide tires,
stiff suspension and turbocharged.

Dude, what is that white stuff all over the ground?! I have heard of something called "snow"?
Here in California it is really cold........62 degrees and I'm wearing a sweater. I also drove the TT today.

I have driven mine thru 14" of the powdery white stuff and a 2 foot deep snow bank at the end of the driveway - put snows on it and have fun with it - you'd be surprised how well it is in the snow - I bought it to drive it - daily - with the family....
