I have the GIAC $3800 program for the X50/GT2. Kinda unsure of what "stage" the program is? If I want to use Kevin's Turbo's is it additional $1500? Is the flash different from EVO/GIAC dealer to a normal GIAC dealer? Thanks for the help.

paneraiwatches, GIAC supplies/writes custom software for EVO. It is supplied through there network of Dealers. Two Dealers that contribute to this board are Stephen and Alex.. Please contact them for Stage 3 "EVO" software. As Alex has posted you don't want to use a K16 base or race file. And I suggest that you purchase the 100 octane race file.

Kevin,
I have K24 based GIAC software. My car is a factory X50 with K24 Turbos. I have a 91 octane file and a 100 octane file with the GIAC flashloader. My original question is do I have to use the EVO file or is the GIAC K24 based file acceptable.

If you have K24's and X50 GIAC programming, the answers will have to come from GIAC and/or EVO.

This is a straightforward question asked several times without answer. I have an x50 as well. I sure hope someone who knows will find the time to respond.

KEVIN, could you explain your "stage 5 turbos" (ie. do they start from k16's or k24's?)
what programming works with them (specifically, or is it custom program?)
GT2 intercoolers better than stock 996TT with these turbos?
what type of waste gates come on them?
what boost levels are they designed to work with?
TIA,
Marty K

Oh dear, I hate to add to all of the communication here but.....Kevin I think my turbo's are GT1? I also have the modified headers and for what it's worth the modified "Y" pipe and hose kit. My ECU program is "generic" from Germany. I doubt it is for anything more than a stock setup. Do you think I'd benefit from the GIAC stage 3 also?

I've always wanted to get it custom programed but if the Stage 3 takes into account all of the gizmo's I've already added this may get me close enough.

P.S. a tuner I respect also recommend a 5 Bar fuel pressure regulator?
