ECU is not reading to the rest of the system. This is the only time it will do this. If the immobilizer is kicking in there is never an error. It will not turn over. The indicator shows a broken circuit to the cluster via the can and no response from the ECU. Is your car chipped? If so was it a flash or a solder version. If the company used a soldered version this is more than likely the issue. Probably a cold solder joint.

Yessir! I have an Upsolute chip. The guy here in Dallas appears to be pretty incompitent, so I'm sending the PCM to Rene on Monday.

So the guy in Mesquite sucks? I was thinking about an Upsolute chip but thought I'd have to go up there for an install.

Yeah, I've realized that he's pretty worthless. You can remove your PCM in about 5 minutes, send it to Rene, who is the North American distributor, and have it back the next day. My car runs like a champ, and it's a great bang for the buck mod, but the guy in Mesquite needs to learn to solder! If you need help removing your PCM, I'd be glad to help!

Hello friends!

Bought the 996T few days ago. 2001 year, 42000 km. When the engine is cold it shows FAILURE INDICATOR and doesn't run. I disconnect the battery, then engine start and everything is okey.

I search forum, but still dont understand - what is the problem. Is it oil sender, coolant temp sender, or its the problem with DME fault?

Can you help me?
