Default 7:15,63 min. Nürburgring new record

A GT2 get the record back. what a time!!!
7:15,63 min..
The receipt is easy. build a car with big HP. put a similar to race suspension and get a true carrera or supercup pilot and let him drive the car.
The 8 Min record is nothing any more.
who will break the 7 min limit first?

I heard this GT2 is going to be a production car.

Can't wait now to find out what the 997 Turbo will do at the Ring...maybe somewhere in the 7:40's?

I believe the 996 Turbo *without* either X50 or X73 has a time of 7:57, and the stock GT2 is something like 7:46.

Actually...I have a DVD courtesy of another Rennlister of a 911 Turbo (I think GT class with over 700hp) driven by I think its Uwe Ahlzen(sp?)......that looks a lot faster than this clip.....is this a standard GT2 or what?

I have that video, and you're right - it looks a lot faster.

Nothing is standard about that GT2, it has 612BHP and all the suspension and chassis upgraded, it is lightweight, etc..
As far as the Alzen video, he clocked 6:53, which is considerably faster than this time, that car has around 700 "real" hp and is a pure race car, both cars were prepared by RS Tuning in Germany. The Alzen DVD is insane.
