Do any of you know if there is some sort of DIY instruktion on changing a exhaustsystem on a 996 Turbo?
I 've found how to change spark plugs, and a lot of other stuff, but nothing on how to change exhaustsystem..
Anyone who can help me??
Many thanks!

Disconnect both O2 sensors on each side of the engine bay (to the left and right of the air box) and drop the connectors and wires down so they will not get caught on anything when the exhaust is removed.
Loosen both muffler hangar straps and slide them to the outside so they're off the support located on the aft part of the engine bay.
Remove the four nuts on each exhaust flange (where the exhaust connects to the back of the turbos).
Slide the exhaust aft against the rear heat shield at the rear of the engine bay so the flanges clear the studs. Now lift up on the flanges so the exhaust can slide back forward - the studs of
the turbochargers should now be at the side of the flanges and inside the large hole of the flanges. You will now be able to drop the muffler end down and remove the entire exhaust.

Be sure to note the route the O2 sensor wires take. There is a write up on the Imagine Auto site with pictures. http://www.imagineauto.com The curved wrench to get to the turbo bolts makes it easier.
