Default Best Exhaust System???

Billy Boat exhaust for 996TT... is it anygood and does the alleged horsepower increase increase happen and/or can you feel it? I've seen a number that says a 45 rear wheel HP increase with header and exhaust. Is that BS?

What system is recommended for a slightly more agressive sound than stock that adds a little performance to boot? I've checked out Fabspeed and seen/heard their options but wanted to hear some opinions from the esteemed membership here at Rennlist.

Thanks,
Dave

Europipe 2, loud or quite version

Do not change your headers you will lose torque.. You cannot beat the factory design.. I posted a DIY mod to improve them awhile ago..

Dave, The best exhaust system is the one you buy, because you spent your money for the purchase and that make your decision the best, LOL!

The Techart (aka; SuperSprint) is one of, if not the best, sounding exhausts for the TT. My money is on the new PSI Exhaust from Orton Performance. PSI is a very well known racing tuner in Germany. I like to buy from winners, not posers. I also like the build quality of the PSI. Take the time to talk with Neil @ Orton Performance. You will be sold, either the Techart/SuperSprint or the PSI, you won't be sorry.

I have not heard many exhausts for the TT but I just put a used GHL Exhaust on mine and I really like the sound. Build quality is good and I think the 'new' price is pretty reasonable. You should check them out.

offroad, there have been plenty of people that have purchased exhausts to find out that they hate them... Stephen at Imagine did a dyno test comparison on most of the exhaust system that were available a few years ago.. Fabspeed made the most power.. All in all it is the eye of the beholder or ears of the beholder.. Again try to hear the system for yourself before dropping your coin..

I just got my Cargraphic Medium and I love it. It has absolutely no resonance in the typical 2-2.5K RPM range but has a nice growl at higher RPMs and screams at WOT. It's build quality is second to none.

Thanks,
Ted.

FYI - there is a Fabspeed Sport for sale on 6speed....
I would go for this not the Super Sport as it may be too loud for some

The Fabspeed turned my TT into a headache box. The resonance is a killer for me anyway. DON'T BUY ANY EXHAUST BEFORE YOU HEAR IT ON A TT !!! The sound clips on the computer are not like what the sound is inside your car. I just don't want someone else to get burned like I did.
