You won't get extra money for having it in the car, so sell it to me instead. For 996 2003-05 MOST Bose system.

Same, but I see people selling their car with them still installed all the time, getting zero return.

What does the dealer charge for an install / uninstall? May be a factor

I guess we're just making conversation now... happy Sunday

I just received a quote from my local Porsche dealer for $2800.00 to purchase and install the PCCM+ in mine. I decided against it.

A few folks told me they like the similar models from Kenwood and Sony a little better, and they were 1/3 the cost.

Just my two cents worth.

Thanks,
Steve

Worth it 100% in my opinion. Self-install is possible to save a few $.

There is no comparison between the OEM fit, finish and integration (color of lit buttons, etc.) and aftermarket options

I think we are very lucky Porsche takes such good care of historic models by creating parts like this.

I purchased one of the 1st units that Sunset Porsche had in stock about 2 1/2 years ago for $1065. I installed it myself, including piwis programming for the navigation display at the cluster in about 3 hours total. So, the dealership is ripping you off!

If you have a MOST system the installation is very easy. It it a simple DIY. Well worth it!

$1250 new from multiple Porsche dealers, full plug and play for 2003-05 for self install.

Aftermarket is great for 2001-2002 but for the 2003+ with the upgraded better soundind MOST system the PCCM+ wins.

I agree that OEM looks the best... that's what I lean towards. I was simply stating the quote I received from my dealer, and my decision not to have them install it. Pelican Parts has them for $1650 (inflation maybe), and I'm glad to hear that it's not too hard to install. My plans are to save up and purchase one and install it myself.

Thanks,
Steve

Gotta say, every time I see a picture of a car w/ the PCCM+, it makes me want to undo my GT3 center console delete so that I can have it.

Really looks great.
