Which gap are you referring to? I can't measure the gap between the plenum and the oil cooler with the engine in the car very easily. I can measure the gap between the top of the plenum assembly and the roof of the engine compartment, I'll do this later today.

There is plenty of clearance there even with insulation. Simply not a player.

I also checked how the Y-pipe aligns with TB if distributors are taller. There's enough flex/movement from rubber/silicone couplings to allow 3-5mm taller runners. Accessories attachment points need to be lowered accordingly.
I think that we add 4mm taller runners as "race" option.

Anyway this has been very valuable item of discussion, thanks!
Pete, to clarify, does your car have the dual 997TT oil coolers or the single one like the 996 cars? The gap you measured is with respect to the dual or single cooler which is the one in question here.

Noo, I'm still using the 996 turbo's heat exchanger. I did not want to start changing consoles etc required for using 997 turbo's setup.

^^^Yes, I mean the gap between the engine's top and chassis.

I slacked off on this a little bit. I just checked the distance between the top of the plenum and the roof of the engine bay and it's at least 2". I have RSS urethane motor mounts so if the stock mounts are in use, there would be even more clearance.

Pete, quick question for you. Looking at your first post, you list flow data for cylinder 1,2, and 3. What is the flow on 4, 5, and 6? I don't see it listed. Thanks!

1-2-3 = 4-5-6, beause one fits both banks, just like OEM 997 turbo or GT2 ones.

There's now an introduction of this on my website, but the webshop is still in development phase. We increased the height by 5mm, so now it'll clear that taller heat exchanger too.

This is exciting. I love the transparency of the development. All the data is provided as to why this is an improvement.
It's such a breath of fresh air compared to so many other "improvements", which are marked based on "trust me".

I would want one just to use the higher capacity oil cooler. Any other benefits would be an added bonus.

Sorry if I missed it, but what's a rough price point for this going to be?

Saw that... as I expect my engine to come again soon, I'm curious about pricing too.

Sorry guys...and thanks for the interest, but I've been very busy with my actual work and thus building up the webshop is still in progress. Price will be reasonable though.
