Default PCCB install.. Help needed

I have picked a complete set of 996 GT2 PCCB calipers only.. I want to fit them on my 01 non-PCCB 996 Turbo.. Shall I just get the Ceramic Removal Kit or will I need to go a different route?

I know from other threads that the 997 turbo rotors/bolts are recommended while installing the 6 piston GT3 non-PCCB calipers, but I am wondering if the PCCB calipers are different that the non-PCCB..

Therefore, is the kit stated above the only thing I require?

OR

Should I go the 997 rotors/caliper bolts route?

You can go OEM 997TT rotors, Girodisc, or AP racing rotors. Pretty much your choices... OEM rotors about $1k, others $2.4K.... For street OEM is fine, for track you want the 2pc floaters...

Besides the yellow color the PCCB calipers are the same as the red GT3 calipers. So any 350mm rotor that fits the red 6 pots fits the PCCB's. You can get the Stebro steel rotors cheap for a 997 Turbo, get the longer bolts front/rear and spacers for the rear calipers and you're done.

I don't run 2 piece rotors on the track but I probably should, at least for the front.

Link to the Sebro slotted 350mm 997 TT rotors... Under $800 for all four.

I think pad choice is a function of your intended use - if you are going to track it, an aggressive pad, if you primarily are going to use it on the street, a low dust pad.

For non PCCB/ceramic equipped brakes, I use the Portfield R4S - low dust, reasonable performance, great wear. I don't track, street and highway driving primarily.

You buy what matches the calipers. If you're using the 996 GT3 front calipers, buy pads to fit those, although 997 Turbo front pads are the same shape and will fit too.

Depending on your usage of the car, I would recommend the Ferodo DS2500 for the street and the DS1.11 or DS3.12 for the track. Regarding fitment, the front GT2 PCCB calipers should take the same pad shape as the iron 996.2 GT3/GT2, 997 GT3/RS/GT2/RS/Turbo. The rear pad shape is the same as the 996.2 GT3/GT2/Turbo. The Sebro slotted rotors mentioned would be fine for street use and some track. If you end up doing a lot of track days, a 2-piece rotor from GiroDisc, AP, or PFC would be recommended. GiroDiscs are in stock.
Part# Reference:
Ferodo Front Pads (In Stock)
FRP3075H - DS2500 - $397.67 (Street)
FRP3075W - DS1.11 - $563.61 (Endurance)
FRP3075G - DS3.12 - $633.57 (Sprint) *Most Popular*
Ferodo Rear Pads (In Stock)
FRP3051H - DS2500 - $212.62
FRP3051W - DS1.11 - $354.79
FRP3051G - DS3.12 - $354.79
