I imagine there is some gain, however there are numerous other items that are far lower hanging fruit in terms of $ vs. work to install vs. performance benefit before you get. I would say these become a solid upgrade once you've put upgraded turbos on the car.

With an X-50, you can send the turbos out for an economical compressor billet wheel upgrade, add some larger injectors and then the pipes come into play very nicely. We designed our plenum around these pipes and achieved great results with the upgraded K24 turbos, injectors, IC's, Y-Pipe, plenum w/ EVOMS tubes, etc.
Here is an example of our plenum with the EVOMS tubes. I'm glad to see for 996tt owners that these are back, as we have had to turn a lot of customers away over the past 2 years due to lack of availability and this is truly a great mod. I would say if you ever wanted a set of these, now is the time to secure a set.

I had the EvoMS hard pipes installed a few years ago when I did the 'big fix' as the flex hoses always seemed a bit janky to me. Never had any issues with the hard pipes and as a bonus they look class (even though you only see them once).

I'm not a fan of the donkey d**k soft pipes but there are not any other options out there currently. Here is what I would probably install....

Mmmmm. Sounds like a tune is going to be an integral part of the "package ". It's still not clear if we can get away with flashing back to stock for smog testing under the new California rules. That's why I was asking about the effectiveness of the "bolt ons". I'm currently able to pass with a Europipe and Kevin's rebuilt & upgraded WG actuators.(Stock tune)
