Default What are these engine mounts

I been looking to get OEM RS Engine mounts. I use to have Torque Solutions semi solid engine mounts on my previous 996tt (which were great) and now I want to try something different.

I see they went up in price in the recent years. Looks about $700 for the full set. Then I stumbled onto this:

https://www.fvd.net/us-en/FVD375964/...4-993-oem.html

Anyone know what these are? States OEM. This has me slightly confused why they cost over 50% then from Suncoast.

FVD stuff is good. I’d use that over any of the aftermarket semi solid offerings.

URO versions even cheaper here. They work great.

Thanks. I seen these URO versions before and have no idea what they are. Are they just like OEM? I read several reviews stating they are garbage so didn't bother looking further.

They are OEM, but not genuine Porsche. They're a simple design so I can't see how they could go wrong, but of course anything can happen. Mine held up to street and track with no issues at all.

Still here but super busy with other projects right now. I have a NASA TT event next weekend I'm doing and that will pretty much be it for the year. Have a few projects for the car this winter including a full weld in roll cage to make the car fully compliant for wheel to wheel racing, Cup heads for the engine to give it an 8700rpm redline, 997 airbox, fun stuff like that.

The URO mounts mentioned above are simply copies of the OEM German manufactured RS mounts. URO is a Chinese company that makes a number of automotive components for the aftermarket. None are OEM for Porsche. I have no experience with them whatsoever, might be perfectly fine, but as always, caveat emptor....

Is buying German made OEM more patriotic?

I haven't been impressed with the quality of the uro parts. If you doing your own labor and it's not an onerous job then it may be worth trying them out.

I'd never use them for a labor intensive job, at that point I want to use parts I know work

Uro parts are sourced from all over. Unfortunately I end up having to use them for many VW parts, there is no other alternative. Some are fine and some are worthless. I've received various Uro parts made in Spain, Turkey, France, Germany, Vietnam, Taiwan, China, Mexico, Canada, and the US.

From my experience the same can said for most auto parts manufacturers. Manufacturing is done all over the world.

They also have a set for the 996 TT which is $65 more but from what I can see only the bolts are different, I looked at them as well since I plan to replace my 20 year old mounts.

If you do go the URO route, the mounts themselves are inexpensive on Amazon ($75/pr, OE mounts are ~$300/each). The required OE bolts, cups, washers, etc. can be sourced on rmeuropean.com or fcpeuro.com.

Amazon Amazon

The jury is still out on them... I installed them about 9 months ago and they where a fantastic improvement over relatively fresh OE mounts, but we'll see if they hold up as well as OE. It's a pretty stiff rubber compound and not that visco-style that come stock, very simple part and not much that can go wrong with them other than the quality of the rubber bushing itself.

I don't think I'd take the risk on the URO. Everything I read and what everything everyone said here, it is a hit or miss.

I don't like doing the same job twice too often Especially if it's around $100 price difference.

Anyone know what the difference is between the 964/993 and the 996 versions? I thought 964/993 OEM RS mounts are the ones you install in the 996tt?
