What are these engine mounts

Got it. I just measured them. Right under 5" so looks like 125mm.

Hey everyone, I installed the mounts yesterday. Correct, the drop bolts are definitely shorter so it limits the engine drop. I usually unbolt the mounts and lower the engine using a jack anyways.
The 4 bolts that connect the engine mounts to the body were short. I assume they are for 993? I ended up reusing the original ones for now. I emailed FVD and I'm sure they will take care of it.
Unless I was doing something wrong, this is definitely a two man job unlike using aftermarket semi-solid mounts. It is impossible to get the nut on the bolt without someone holding it down by hand. Same goes for trying to tighten it to 63 ft/lb.

True... With the RS mount conversion, you can't drop the engine as far while still have the safety of keeping the nut engaged on the end of the bolt. I suppose you could try and source the correct dimensions/grade bolt in 130 or even 135mm, but I don't think one exists in the Porsche parts catalog.

Has anyone bought this 996 specific kit from FVD besides me? Apparently I'm the only that ever reported this problem.
Here are the bolts compared to the OEM ones. Anyone has measurements of stock ones? I'm too lazy to take out the intake, remove one bolt and measure

I always preferred using the OEM Porsche M12 flange bolts on the engine mounts to help distribute the load. There are a ton of these used all over the suspension of the car in various lengths from 85-125mm and all are 10.9 grade. All you need to do is figure out what length you need and look in PET for the bolt part number. PET will list the size and length of the bolt.
P.S. Don't forget to use the OEM thick hardened washers on the top and bottom when using the OEM 964 RS mounts.

For everyone trashing URO parts here, many of the air cooled guys use their parts for a lot of things and they are perfectly fine most of the time. For example, URO was making Windshield seals, a huge problem on air cooled cars. In recent years even Porsche seals now suck, and the compound of rubber they use to be made of are simply illegal to produce. URO actually listened to its customers, and redesigned their seal (was based on factory seals), made it 5mm wider and they have been met with great successes. Some of their parts have been problematic for me, but the vast majority are great. For the price, even if they last 3-5 years, it can be worth it vs factory. Just my 2 cents, and you didn't pay for it so.....
