Possible Sale 02 TT - Price Check (Listed for Sale!)
I posted the listing earlier today - https://rennlist.com/forums/market/1157489
Car is located in Los Angeles, CA
2002 996 Turbo 6 speed- 40,100 miles
Polar Silver / Metropol Blue
446 - Color Wheel Crests
P14 - Heated Front Seats
P71 - Design Package
XAF - Turbo AeroKit
XSC - Crests in Headrest
Car has decently documented history, I have the full dealer service reporting from the first ownership/warranty period in Excel format. I had a clean PPI done at the Porsche Classic center in Colorado Springs in January of 2018 where no major faults were found.
Since owning, I replaced/added the following
Car has good tires all around and passes CA smog with flying colors. No leaks/drips/nada. No overrevs were noted when the car was PPI'd. Car has period installed bluetooth and radar/laser detector. Car is in excellent exterior condition, no evidence of repainting anywhere, retains original front clear bra over half hood, fenders. No issues with 2nd popout or anything of the sort.
Only two things I would disclose are that the front AeroKit splitter is not installed. It's cracked and in dire need of repair/repaint or replace. The other is that the engine is not original to the car. at 1200 miles a knock "deep within" the engine was noted by the previous owner and Porsche replaced it with a brand new crate engine from the factory.
Here are a few photos when I took delivery https://imgur.com/a/okJdA6k
I'll answer any questions anyone has if I missed anything.
Thanks!

Does it make sense to have the AeroKit front lip repaired/replaced/repainted pre-sale? As I said, it's not installed and I have the plain ebay $100 guy on there. I just don't know if it's cheaper to try to find a body shop to repair the OEM one or find an eBay clone and paint it.
Or just leave it as it is, and include the broken one to be repaired if desired. It's not a super low mileage collectible car so I'm not super worried about it.

Btw not sure I agree it's not rare. Depends on your definition of rare I guess. Not as rare as Irish green on cork leather but definitely more rare than artic on black or black on black.
Not sure how much an OEM replacement aerokit splitter goes for but I think it might be worth looking into, or if it's possible to have it repaired to a very nice spec, maybe do that.
Without the splitter story I think it would be a mid 50s ask, for an easy deal in the low 50s. If it's only a few hundred dollars to sort that out I think it's a no-brainer.
Even if it's not a big deal money wise, for a buyer having to fix something right away is a bit of a downer.

Fair point. I probably should have said exterior color, not combo. Not sure how rare the blue interior is.

A real AeroKit front spoiler is something like $1200 and IMO really dates the car. It’s very aggressive but a bit awkwardly shaped. I actually prefer the plain turbo one I replaced with.
I’ll run by a couple local body shops to see if it makes financial sense to try to repair it.

Great color! Although the interior looks like mine but I have the X99 Natural Leather. I think you are too low at 50K. Do you have the receipt for the engine? If so, repair the front lip and ask 60K, settle between 57K and 60K. If you don't have the receipt, take off a few grand.

granted, that engine was done at 1200 miles, so it’s been almost it’s whole life with it.

This car sat for a little but sold for 50, lower miles more desirable seats.

Respectfully disagree but we will see.
Here is an x50 polar aero with gt3 buckets more miles but I am pretty sure this went for 50 or 51.
It's all about timing to get the best price. This one also sat a while.
