2003 TT - using 2 quarts of oil a month...why?
Hi There....I've got a 2003 911 TT with 68K miles on it. Lots of go fast goodies including larger Turbos. I've only had the car a couple of months but noticing it's using at least a quart of oil ever couple of weeks - say 200 to 300 miles of driving. Does smoke sometimes on startup but not always.
Runs strong and otherwise seems great. Thoughts on the high oil consumption?
Thanks

Whens the last time you changed your oil?
Thats a lot of oil.
When i run twisties everyday for 2 weeks straight in 90 plus weather For an hour or two i burn through a quart in 600 miles. Im switching to kevins recommendation before i run backroads soon..
I notice more burning at the around 5k miles since an oil change.
Fwiw im bone stock.
Also how is your driving style?
Do you do a lot of rolling runs or dig runs?
Cool your turbos down after driving?
I only ger smoke on start up when i turn the car on
After moving my cars around hot and cold engine.

As Dock wrote, something is not right.
I would guess the oil seals in the turbo bearing are shot. Are you getting a lot of oily shooting on the exhaust tips? Aer you sure there isn't an oil leak somewhere?

Checked for leaks? Sounds like if it is burning it could be the turbo seals.

Maybe, but I think if the case was being pressurize to would trigger a check engine light and throw codes.
Turbo bearing seals are one of the few things I can think of that can go bad, burn a lot of oil, and not throw codes, at least initially. Valve seals might also do it.

Pressurizing the case or turbo seals would make it smoke.

your car ( no car ) should visibly leak oil. turbo seals is a possible but wouldn't nearly account for the type of loss you describe. GL with it. you need to get it on a lift etc.
