Hello, nice board.
I bought an '03 C4S last year, and absolutely love it. The one thing that I do miss however, is top down driving. Before the C4S, I had an S2000, and LOVED top down driving in the mountains.
So now I'm seriously considering an '04 Cabriolet, either the C4S or TT Cab. I've heard there is quite a bit of flexing and cowl shake with the cabs - should I really consider either (I'm especially concerned with the TT Cab's rigidity with the extra power). Price isn't really a factor. I'm curious what others think...
Thanks

My vote is for the C4S Cab
I am assuming if you wanted the extra power from the turbo you would have bought a twin turbo coupe versus your current C4S. Just an assumption however.
Good luck on your decision. you can't go wrong either way.

I was in your situation a few months ago. I had a 00 C2 cpe and wanted a cab. I was about to order a C4S cab but decided the exclusivity of the TT was worth the extra $25-30k.
There are quite a few C4S's in my area but very few TT cabs, dealers (2)
are getting 6 ea for the model year.

quiet-if price isn't a problem, the tt cab is the obvious answer. i do not think that the cowl shake would be an issue, as the cabs are rigid enough. i would probably also get the x50 package.

If price isn't a factory, it's a no brainer ... Go with the TT Cab!! You'll never regret having the extra power. And the TT has tremendous mod potential if you're into hp++, like alot of us here.

I am interested in msindi's comment that the the X50 is not worth it. I happen to agree with it, but would like to know the specific reason. If you are going to upgrade, isn't there value in doing so - with Porsche approved mods - and thereby maintaining the warranty?
I have a TT cab on order for April build and am already thinking of speaking with Stephen at Imagine, but am concerned with potential loss of warranty.

I think 17K for an extra 35HP is a ripoff...Resale difference between X50 and non-X50 is only 5K!!
It is even more worthless if you plan on modding as you can get close to 600HP with modified K24s, ECU, exhaust and header all in the neighborhood of 13K

Keep the car you say you love and for the extra money buy a new S2000! I've got a 2003 996TT and a 2002 S2000. Very different cars but both a hell of a lot of fun!
Enjoy,
