I actually emailed a shop that my family is familiar with to let them know to expect the car to be delivered to them for the repair. Later that evening I threw a quick question out to my friend who was an Audi tech for years... and that conversation snowballed into switch functionality explanations, wiring diagrams, and the "HEY LOOK" when the current distributor was shown in the manual.

I actually referenced a fuseable link a few posts up, and this is what it turned out to be. Different name, same idea.

Here we are, a few months later (while doing a clutch replacement with a couple friends) when this is brought to my attention...



This wire was pinched, had to have been from the previous clutch install 10 years ago. It is the most likely culprit in my fuse blowing issue from last fall.

We repaired the pinch and secured everything out of the way. Should be all good now!
