I like the idea of a known starting point. It may be irrational, but I don't like the idea of not knowing what engine management my car is running.

I thought my car was stock but turns out I had a unknown tune too. Now I have a UMW tune, car runs great!

I emailed Weissach Auto/RUFautomobiles.com in Vancouver to see if they have worked on the car. We'll see if I get a response. Anyone know anywhere else that a Seattle area resident would have purchased RUF modifications in the early to mid 2000s? At this point I'm as much curious as anything, and I love doing forensic work on my cars.

Also, I've had some back and forth with Kevin at UMW based on recommendations above, he has been most informative, I'm likely to go that route.
