Correct. Probably wasn’t clear but that’s what I meant. The plug runs off the seatbelt receptacle. It’s all OEM stuff.

Geez John, your basement sounds like a candy store for cool 996 Turbo parts. Can I come by and shop?

Done. Here is what I learned ('02 Turbo):
  1. Battery not disconnected. No key near the vehicle - on a battery tender the whole time.
  2. Removed factory seats - unplugged main connections to seat heater, motors, etc.
  3. Bolted factory seat belt receptacles to the GT3 seats.
  4. Ran belt receptacle cable to the underside of the seats.
  5. Plugged the green plug in with the prong thingy sticking outward/away from the female plug on the drivers side.
  6. Plugged the blue plug in with the prong thingy sticky outward/away from the female plug on the passenger side.
  7. Zip tied all wiring and loose plugs to the underside of the seats.
  8. Bolted down the seats.
  9. Turned the key to ON - no airbag warning.

Good job.

So there was no need to move the passenger seat weight sensor over to the GT3 seats?

I looked for the strip you described but didn’t seem to have one. Thanks for your help!

Hopefully have a set of these seats showing up soon. Dave, in your pics above you didn't route the shoulder belt through the outside hole in the seats? I also see that you have the seat belt receptacle on the outside of the seat against the transmission tunnel. Shouldn't that also be routed through the hole and be inboard to the seat?

I hope you like them as much as I do! You have a nice looking Turbo. I prefer the road shoulder belt be outside the seat rather than through the harness holes. The receptacles were outside the standard seats so that's where I put them. Room enough.

What's the belt routing on the Euro GT3 cars? Inside or outside of those lap harness holes?

Ok, so the shoulder belt gets routed through the upper and lower holes of the seat but the seatbelt receptacle stays on the outside of the seat. Interesting, I thought both were routed to the inside of the seat.
