Reserve was 38.5, Sold at 37.5 BaT collects $1875 and pays me the $1000 difference. Was hoping for more but this will due.
I'm planning on keeping an eye on the market and forum, so no goodbyes. Thanks guys for all your input and help.

Well, that's not bad, then. I didn't realize that BaT would make up the difference out of their commission - but it makes sense. So, I learned something today.
In retrospect, and for others listing on BaT in the future, I think maybe 4 things hurt the final sale price a little:
1. You didn't post undercarriage pics. I don't know why people are so hung up on what the undercarriage looks like, but on both of the cars I sold on BaT, it seemed like undercarriage pics were more important than pics of the shiny side.
2. It's after Labor Day. The market always softens after Labor Day. Had your auction been in August, I think it would have brought $40k.
3. You didn't have the Porsche crest center caps installed in the wheels for your pics. I know you posted pics of the center caps, but one of them looked pretty rough in the up-close pics. I think the missing center caps in the pics just raised a little red flag with people. Plus, the poor condition of the one center cap would not have been as obvious had it been installed in the wheel.
4. The picture of the headlight with the headlight washer cap missing probably confused people. You explained in a comment that the picture was taken during cleaning the headlight, but sometimes people just look at the pics and don't read all of the comments, or overlooked that mention in the comments.
But, all in all, getting $38,500 out of your car is not a bad sale at all. It wasn't "top dollar", but hardly a poor showing, especially when you add the buyer's fee onto the sale price. So, congrats on getting it sold, Bill! And be sure to swing by the auto museum next time you're in KC!

Thanks KC, i feel your points are probably right. Even the guy that bought the car didn't read all the stuff I posted, and had questions asked/answered/discussed in the auction. Kinda pisses me off, but whatever. I'm not really a good salesman, I'm no BS which has hurt me on just about every car I've ever sold. And I'm not a details guy, I try but at some point I get like 'whatever' and just let stuff go. BUT, it was a good experience, a bit anticlimactic for me in the end but the buyer seems pretty happy.
It was a super fun car, I'm wanting something NA next, similar power but with no lag. Burt Reynolds passing has me all nostalgic for a Trans/Am. I know not really the same caliber car, but there are some kick *** pro-touring builds out there. I'm thinking that would be a fun long-term build project, plus, BIG fire-chicken on the hood!?!?, can't have one of those on a Porsche

And, heck, why not put a screaming chicken on a P-car?

So... a few months pass and this '02 C2 pops up at a local dealer with my mechanics licence plate cover on it, go check it out and bought it. I'll be over in the N/A forums now lol.
