I do go to the library. Post office and grocery store on mine.
I also make grocery trips in my 996 Turbo. Other drives I take the car on are: to go out and eat, to go Home Depot, to go Cabela's, to go pick up beer/whiskey, to go on drives in the North Georgia mountains, and to take weekend (or week long) trips around the Southeast.
Oil and Filter changed last night, Brakes on Order, speakeing with Warehouse33, I decided on ATE rotors, Hella Padgid pads up front and the Akebono rears. Going to call the shop to get a scheduled Over Rev report, and see about letting them do the bump-stop and accumulator while it's there. Dripping Pentosin all over everything freaks me out a bit.

Got the wing hydraulics pulled last night and boxed up, will get it into the post today! Forgot I had pulled the ground as to not damage anything in the pump, so hoping it's in good shape inside. Motor worked, but system was pretty much dry so no movement at all when activated.

Also, peeled remaining seal off the surround of the 3rd brake light. Did you guys polish or put LED's in yours? Seemed kinds drull.
New Ebay lip installed Saturday, bleh, it's hot out. Talked with Kevin Friday evening, and again this afternoon! Both cylinders rebuilt with his parts, system held under pressure all weekend. Lucked out and Kevin said the pump was in great shape, no issues there. System in on it's way back to me, will get her hooked back up when it arrives.
Also, unrelated, but Kevin is a top notch guy. Had a great conversation with him about all things Porsche and life
Even though he's a Corn-Husker, the man knows these cars inside and out. If I do keep it (he was convincingly suggesting I do so), he will definitely by my go to for help.
Thanks Bill.. These are your new wing cylinders rebuilt and under pressure. I was able to flush the pump assy fill it up with new Pentosin, bleed and cycle the pump/cylinders..
Again for those that read this.. I think that one should bleed the pump system every 3 to 4 years to prolong the system and keep the oring fresh..
And yes, I have been trying to encourage Bill to keep his car.. These cars are increasing in value and he has it ready for the perfect driver!
New ATE Rotors, Akenboko/Padgid pads installed and bled along with the calipers I had stripped and re-decaled and painted. They look great!
BTW, that Motive bleeder seriously takes all the mess and frustration out of bleeding brakes. So nice!
Also got the hydraulics re-installed, works OK manually, obviously no leaks! It is cycling at speed but isn't coming down, I'm guessing one of the micro-switches died, or isn't sitting right?
Always a good idea to start with new micro switches and a fill / bleed procedure. ECU is looking for a timely electrical feedback signal when the wing is all the way up or all the way down. The OEM microswitches are extremely delicate and easily bugger up.
Loose upper micro switch. It wasn't seated fully when I cracked open the cover. I cut up a Mr. Clean Eraser sponge and put it in there, should have enough pressure to keep it seated. Ran a few test runs, all is well now.

Got the car is back from Rennsport last week. I let them install the Slave accumulator, and re-boot the driver CV axle, as well and install a new set of Michelin's. Car is driving perfect. Last weekend I drove down to OKC and had a buddy take some nice photos and last night I worked on my BaT entry. I'm trying to be realistic about the reserve, even with the money I just dropped but it has been fun to work on the car and get it in tip top shape, albeit dirty
Will see what BaT has to say and we'll go from there.
