Unsure what your specific criteria are, but for small, fun, and not over-the-top front engined brut status, could do an M2, or better yet, 1M.

Consider an MB 500E/E500 or 325iX if you’re looking to add. Good investments and fun to drive.
An SS or a ZL1 with the 1LE package are more than capable than driving in a straight line! The car sits pretty low, and with the 1LE package adds the constant variable magnetic suspension as in the Z06 can pull some impressive g’s along with the 6 piston Brembo brakes, trans cooler, diff cooler and engine oil collers! You can opt for the track recorder which records and displays your telemetry, it also holds 10 qts of oil, along with sport exhaust, wider tires on the rear than the 996 turbo! Hardly a straight shooter!
The only issue is the visibility out the rear window, along with high door panels.

Looking for a comfortable daily driver or even more of a sports car? I was going to say C7 S6 in there with the M5 consideration for luxury sedan. Both are probably nightmares to fix so extended warranty is a plus. For sportier cars, maybe an F Type Jag, Cayman, Ford Focus RS, Civic Type R (get black or ignore the styling), Audi TT RS manual, or even a Lotus Elise or Exige.

Also the 2008 Range Rover Supercharged I've been driving is a truly wonderful car if you ignore the running costs.

They generally work well if you don't run over them :-)

Not my car, image "borrowed" from post above
