Default GT3 brakes and wheel clearance

Will factory Hollow spoke wheels clear 996 GT3 brakes without running a spacer? I have searched but did not find any good info.

Thanks!

GT calipers will not fit stock awd. carriers due to caliper mounting location being different to the stock 4 piston. I did the conversion early on to GT calipers to modified awd carriers with the modified caliper mounts.

I assumed they were GT3 brake calipers. They are 6 piston.

I believe 997tt six piston is a bolt on. By Appearance they look the same but the GT 6piston has zircon pistons. Piston diameters are also diff. Calling powerhound to the service phone.

The brakes are already on the car, I am just wondering if stock wheels would clear the calipers. The car has RG5's on it now.

I am not sure about the 997tt calipers with the GT calipers the stock will not fit. May fit with a spacer. Most that convert will use GT2 wheels and off set. On a side note the Turbo S with 6 pistons have a different spare wheel to accommodate the 6 pistons.

I ran 997.1 GT3 calipers front and rear and they cleared stock hollows and bolted right up to stock AWD carriers.

The front rotors from the 997tt with 997 Gt3 calipers work. The 997 Gt3 rotor offset is different from tt if I remember right.

it's only the 380mm setup that requires the 7tt PCCB upright/caliper adapter for 330/350mm cars... all 350mm 996/7 GT2/3/TT calipers fit same

Direct bolt on any go. Just need 997 TT front rotors. You need to space out rears to 350 to maintain balance.

I think I may have been one of the first to use the 6GT calipers back then the 997 were still years out. here's a shot of my modified carriers that had the caliper mounting holes machined and plugged and re tapped and aligned so the GT spec rotors were aligned to center of the 6GT rotors. h
