I’m a novice when it comes to tuning. Never done it, but I’m in the market. Currently car boosts to 1.2 when I floor it so I suspect it may already have a tune.

Is is there anyway to confirm this and find out who may have done the tune?

Car is stock and I’d like to keep it that way, id just like a simple remap to get a little more. Again I may already have the tune so I’m not sure where to go from here.

Assuming it is a "good" tune, if you're boosting to 1.2 bar on a non-X50, you can't get much more without other modifications such as intake/exhaust, turbo upgrade, etc. If you want to keep the car stock except for a tune, you are pretty much at the end of the line upgrade-wise.

Do you have any datalogs since a year ago or since you bought your car? Have you logged your boost, requested and actual? Knock retard is? A quick test is to fill your tank up with 50/50 race gas.. If you pickup a lot more power vs with pump gas, you most likely are pulling to much timing on pump gas.. Lastly, go get a Driftbox and log some 60 to 130's you can compare your output to the LIST.

In short if you are asking for more power>>race gas mixed 50/50. The next step requires adding a free flowing exhaust system, THEN power add on mods. 997.2TT intercoolers, Hybrid turbochargers.
