18" Tire sizes
Putting on the stock 18" twists and see all kinds of conflicting info here so I thought I would ask (yes I searched)
Stock size is 225/40 and 295/30. My car is lowered quite a bit and my 295/30/19 in the rear did rub until I removed the bracket.
Should I stick with stock sizes or am I better of using other sizes?
Thanks

245/40-18 and 315/30-18 on stock wheels... you mention 295/30-19 in the post, but 18 in the thread title... if youre actually looking for 19s instead of 18s I don't really have any recommendations

The Michelin rep at the WERKS reunion in Monterey said " any size that is available in the PS2 will be available in the PSS in January" That is good news for those of us that run stock tire sizes.

I agree. 245/40-18 and 315/30-18 on stock wheels are the way to go.

235/40 and 315/30. Those are the gt2 sizes, and I have been running the same for years. Otherwise stick with OEM.

I'm already contemplating my next tire...I like the Yok AD08Rs, but they're being discontinued.

op..get rid of the 19's and go with a gt2 oem sized/stanced plant. this requires 18" wheels. better.

rob, don't you think that ps2/3 tire suits the car? the car is 15 years old also!
not for nothing, .. only two reasons i am fitting rt651k's tomorrow is because of your previously favorable mention of them coupled with their cheap price. in equal measure

Different recommendations here just like I found on my search.
My concern with going for the GT2 sizes is the car is lowered substatially and I have had issues with my 19" 997TT rims rubbing on the back before I removed the bracket.
Will the 315 rub?

They're not supposed to rub at stock ride height with stock wheel sizes, but all bets are off on a lowered car with different offsets.
