I also use these grills on my 2001 996TT and 2009 boxster.
Overall I am happy with them. The fit is not perfect but the install is easy and it functions well/looks good.

Zunsport Mesh Grilles...

I wonder if this company did modifications on the vehicles used in the movie Mad Max?

I just installed some and this was the look I was going for. Thanks for the tips here: Zunsport kinda implies you don't have to remove the bumper cover but I think anyone that wants it done right would do so. I kept the OEM grill in the center for a little extra strength; it works either way. You could probably keep the side grills if you modified them a bit by cutting away space for the Zunsport clips.

I also painted the silver bumper so you don't see it. They were actually out of the black, so these came to me silver and I painted them black.

I have found with the ones I purchased originally I zipped tied them in with the intent to mount them permanently from behind the bumper and a year later I am glad I didn't. My findings are that small debris and little bits of small gravel still gets in there and requires and vac now and then and having the ability to easily and quickly remove them is a plus.
