Can't be more than 400 or so left in the U.S. that still see some street time and are not dedicated, gutted track cars! My friend has a cup and its amazing how similar the engines are...basically the
same exact thing.

One thing I think that holds this car back when it comes to winning over new converts and turning lurkers into buyers is that its not a great "test drive" car. I for one was pretty underwhelmed during my first test drive, and the reason is pretty obvious. The true charisma of this platform comes out about 5k rpm, and on the street, in someone else's car, its just not easy (or comfortable) to experience the true character and capabilities of the car. This car is glorious in the upper rev ranges, but somewhat "meh" below. that is why many owners are often folks who have had the chance to experience them on the track. They are really hard to ignore at historical price points when you have really seen what they can do!

I love my manual Gallardo. Its a great car, tons of torque, super fast (for me at least), sounds amazing, and looks amazing, but if I had to chose one to keep it would be the gt3. It just has a feel, precision, and charisma that the lambo can't match.
Do you really think there would only be 400 or so left that are roadworthy? Weren't there around 1500 delivered when new? I hope your estimate is wrong so there are some left over

Under 1000 04-05 delivered to USA (or NA?), about 2500 worldwide.

Correct, my understanding is about 1,000 for North America. So take out the Canadian cars, and then subtract the track-only and race cars, and then remove the cars that have been crashed or have salvage titles, and I would bet you are left with no more than 400-500 good "street cars" in the us. Just a guess though.

Just had a spirited drive in mine on some back-roads today after a longer hiatus. Windows down, all the right Mezger noises, all the right vibrations. My love for this car only grows. Hope my brain never farts about selling it. Had to share this...

Anybody know this car or got any more info on it?
2004 GT3
Miles - 42,750

Dealer says PCCB have been switched to steel.
Car graphic header/exhaust and he says some sort of tune on it.
Comes with DAS sport roll bar.
Stock suspension.

Price at $69,900 seems a bit high for the mileage?

How do you plan to use the car?
Based on the ad description and looking at parts on the car, it appear car has been tracked.

Mine is for sale and I have full service history?

Ah man your car is sweet. Lots of well curated, nice parts. Seems like its owned by someone who goes up down and around the car constantly to make sure nothing is broken on it. A man after my own tastes.

If I knew then what I know now I would have been a buyer for sure .... when I sell my car its going to be the same situation. Stock car for sale and yard sale of tasteful mods sold separately.

Good luck with the sale!

Looking to get back into a 6 GT3. If anyone has any leads or looking to sell a low mileage gt3 please let me know! Would love to get back into a white one, but open to other colors. Min track days/miles preferred.
Also located in the Bay Area/CA would be awesome!

This is the same car that I was looking to buy a few months ago, but was late to the party. Decals, etc were removed. When inquiring, the owner told me he did a couple of porsche club days with the car but didn't like it too much. Rear wing was replaced because a truck "took it off". He didn't seem like an enthusiast.

Anyway, the business selling the car now bought it for $62K a few months ago. Here was the ad on eBay.

You start out with saying, "this is the car I was looking at a few months ago" immediately after the quote.

To the community, the ebay ad is NOT my car and my rear wing has never "been taken off" by a truck. My car has never been crashed, not a single panel repainted. I have only posted my car sale on Rennlist, no other place.
Thank you
Tor
Sorry for the confusion... I quoted the wrong comment. I was reffering to the car that Sparcmo was posting, not your car. Fixed!

Hi guys, first post here. Like many of you, I find the 996 "fried egg" headlights beautiful and one of the most unique designs ever for the 911. I'm looking for a stock 996 GT3 with less than 20k or so miles, no accidents, and as little track time as possible. If you have an example that's not listed in this thread, I would love to find out more info.

Thanks!
