congrats on your GT3 purchase. ![Cheers](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/beerchug.gif)
i think we all agree that was an extremely nice example and most of us were likely watching the auction.
RL is certainly the place to be for overall porsche content and 6.2 GT3 specific info in this forum.

Just noticed this one pop up on ebay. Given current prices, it doesn't seem too bad for an example with less than 30k miles. https://www.ebay.com/itm/17523244062...MAAOSwsAliT5x9
I actually like the spec. Relatively low option car, but it does have the buckets (in better condition than most I see, which may indicate a conscientious owner or two in its past). Probably some track time though as there is a bit of "track rash" on the under side and behind wheel wells (but the car is black so that can come from driving on "dirty roads" too). Looks to be sporting an aftermarket exhaust too (or at least aftermarket tips). The car does look proper though with a great stance (maybe lowered a tad?).

It's already not available and the price is missing from the original listing. Do you recall the asking price?
EDIT - found it at $101K and change. Yep...that seems like a solid buy in this market if that's what it transacted for....

IIRC it was 130 or so. Maybe 125?

Hi all. Joining this forum at the recommendation of folks commenting on BaT where I just bought my first 996 GT3. https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...he-911-gt3-16/
Can't wait to pick it up, drive it and learn more about this car which I have heard so much about over the years. Good to be here!

On that auction, I keep coming back to Scott’s quote:
Selling one of these today is kind of like selling your house in a desirable neighborhood. You can get top dollar but what are you going to replace it with that is as much fun for the same or similar money? Nothing! My personal opinion is that many of these are now finding their “forever homes” so finding a nice one is only going to get harder and harder. Remember, there were fewer of these made than 72 rs’s!

Watching this one closely. Was too dumb to not bid enough on the Silver 996 GT3 that recently sold. Won't make THAT mistake again! Would be nice to join the GT3 crowd here on Rennlist!

More than likely I will be reluctantly selling my 996 GT3 in the coming months. It will be replaced by a used factory race car that is still in transit to me.
My GT3 is a two owner car that has been maintained by a highly regarded indie shop since new. The car is nicely set up for track use, but is still registered for street use. I still have the original parts to return it to stock.
If someone is interested in tracking the car, then buying it as is with the loose original parts would save the expense of installing the goodies that the car already has.
I understand the current market favors stock street cars. I am prepared to restore the car to stock in order to maximize the sell price, but it would nice to find a buyer that would use it as the terrific track car that it is.
Thumbnail on the car: black, less than 40K miles, no hits, stock engine with welded coolant lines, Recaros, Schroth harnesses, RSS931 half cage, full monoball, Moton CS 2 way, 700/900, CCW wheels, interior trim replaced with Cargraphic light weight trim package. There’s more, but you get the idea.
For those that follow the 996 GT3 market, does anyone know of any recent sales of a dual purpose track oriented 996 GT3?
Does anyone have any constructive comments on my expectation about selling my GT3 as anything but a stock street car?
TIA

Put it back to stock and you're looking at 90-100k easy + a pile of money for the parts.
I'm not aware of too many recent comps for modified cars. Hard to say really.
Sell me those Recaros
