All good advice. I think average speed of 30 may be low. Mine is 35, I think. It can vary significantly depending on use. Lower than 30 though would indicate some looking into.

Agree, average speed more likely to be 35-40mph unless you leave in Chicago or NY City, so about 1000-1100 operating hours

Congratulations!

Seeing the tripod there tells me you were well prepared to receive it.

their site says "sale pending" so looks like someone put some money down.

That would be me! First post, and if it goes through this will be my first Porsche.
Not sure what I'm getting into here ...

Well, it is one helluva way to start! Welcome to the world of '6GT3.

Remember, be patient when learning this car. Lots of power and responsiveness, but no nannies. It is just you and the car.

I'm quite afraid. The car has mods for the track and so it will probably be even more challenging. Plus the roads around here are horrible.

Don't be afraid; be patient. Learn to handle the car.

6GT3s do not make great street cars (especially when modded); they are really for track work. Spectacular on the track, though.

(especially when modded)
As far as I've been able to tell, this car has a Cargraphic exhaust system, EVOMSit tune (not sure what version), steel brakes (Pagid), short shifter, H&R springs, high performance clutch but don't know what.
Has a P2096 fault code and at least one ignition coil that needs replacing. Plus a host of hopefully minor items.

Sounds similar to mine...

I have Cargraphics 997 GT3 exhaust, Fabspeed intake, chipped ECU, Light weight fly wheel, Porsche Motorsport LSD, revalved OEM shocks with stiffer Eibach springs, GT3 Euro seats, Porsche Tequipment Roll Bar, solid engine mounts, Tarett LCAs, Cup Shifter cables, etc.

It goes like mad... pushes about 380-390 at the wheels.
