Man, give me a break... All I am saying is if you need to spend alot of time on public roads ie.15000 miles/yr , This is not the right porsche to be in.

Watt, go to www.fabspeed.com. Click on 996TT/GT2. Scroll down and you'll see a link to a video clip of a red GT2 with the fabiani super sport exhaust. Only about 14 secs of me going down the front straight at the Mont-Tremblant race track. Sounds like a toned down 996 RSR (le Mans Car). I love it. It's loud and it is appropriate for the car. There is another (bad) clip of it at idle and driving off. You can hear the turbos whistle.

Sorry if we ( or I) came down so hard on you...Us happy GT3 owner's can be a touch sensitive when we mis-interpret the tone of a critical GT3 post. A C4S or Turbo should be a better fit for you. I did not mean to jump on you like that.... Best of luck getting a Porsche that fits the way "You" want it too.

Maybe for you. I'm sure you will enjoy the 996 X51, it's a great car.

For me the GT3 is a perfect daily driver. I sold a 996 to make room for the GT3. I drive it to work on 30 miles of "public roads" and have 2000 miles in just over two months. I didn't buy this car to track, I have a dedicated track car for that. The GT3 is a great road car for me.

We all appreciate getting your perspective, I'm sure. But please don't leap to such general conclusions. What may be wrong for you, is exactly right for others.

You guys are too funny ! ! ! !

By the way, I think that the boys in Stuttgart forgot to install my sunglass holder hanging down from my headliner and while we're at it, they also forgot to make the steering nice and light like my neighbor's Lincoln. Man, Porsche needs to take some advice from Jaguar. Hey, maybe they'll hire that idiot Chris Bangle from BMW to style the next generation Porsche. More dummy lights and less gauges on the dash would have been nice too. Who needs to know oil pressure (Druk Press for you die-hards)? Just give me a big, red light!

in the UK, I think the word '****' could be applied to you very easily. This is several steps up from 'dork'. You are hostile and ignorant. Some would say we have a lot in common, but I have to say it like I see it. Let it go, little man.
