Great. First outing with the new engine? Be good to have another 6.GT car there, although you've got a lot of hp on me! Pretty sure the extinguisher not required at all let alone in date, but you may as well check with them. It's all pretty relaxed with DD. I'm just installing mine for my own peace of mind. May have it checked by the workshop as I'd guess it's circa 2004 and when you need it working you need it working!

New Nitto NT01s and HANS device to go with the new 3.8TT - good to go.

Yep first track day on new engine. Did a run to Marysville last weekend with PFA guys and umm, yeah, goes good.

Ah. My GT3 is unlikely to be ready for the track unfortunately. I'll be there in my Nissan R32 GTR though. Very disappointed but at least I'm doing a track day, so happy days overall. See you there.

So nice to have this car in the driveway (usually stored elsewhere). Quick drive into work today confirms they are a special car. Can't wait for Sunday.

A Speed Yellow car would be nice too.

Have seen it and admired. Sadly I can't justify having 2 based on colour, though I did once have 2 Nissan GTRs based on colour preference. But that's a much smaller $$ ballpark.

R specs getting thrown on. Just need to figure out Harry's Laptimer to get the best results. Got it all set up but not loving the quality of the video.

car looks great Nick, such a rare colour in Aus for a non RS. Are they dunlops on the car or yokos? Cant quite tell from the pics. Interested to hear which compound you went with and what you think of them.

Harry's is not a bad app for $20. Makes the phone get very hot if using video and timing though. I just invested in a racechrono timer with external GPS - $549 delivered and logs plenty of data and very accurate lap times.

Thanks. I love the colour too, but Speed Yellow 😍. Tyres are Dunlop Direzza 03G M1. They came with the car when I bought it in 2010 and I've done about 5 track days on them plus whatever the PO did. As to how I find them? I find them as they are! I've never had another set on the car except for raid tyres! A bit slack I know but really I just want to go around in circles and have fun and they're plenty good enough for that. I've got another 2 sets of second hand tyres to burn through too!

Cheers.

Where is that workshop?
I spoke to DD today, 50 cars entered and weather looks good so should be plenty of track time. They said 3 run groups, one group of doctors entered as a group, a beginner group and an experienced group.

We should both be in experienced group given previous track days so will be interesting to compare performance in their native environment.
