Today I went to install OEM 996 GT3 wheels on my car an was surprised that the wheels didn't fit. Calipers rubbed on barrels on the front. Currently 18" Fikse Profil 10 wheels are on front with non matching VE's on rears that were installed by previous owner. I've only owned the car for a month and now I get why wheels were not matching. He had problems with the Fiskes leaking and broke/bent/leaks 3 rear wheels in 2 years. What other options in wheels do I have besides getting two rear Fiske wheels to match? What are other GT3 owners running with the Brembo GT brakes up front?

I would have thought you would need 19s for those rotors? could you not take the wheels from the 997?

or a motorsport wheel in 18s like BBS or compomotive. BBS always have good brake clearances.

you could run hubcentric spacers (they bolt to the hubs - not sit on them) to help clear the barrels and widen the track a little. not ideal but cheaper than new wheels all round. you will need longer wheel bolts if you go out further than 5mm or even go to wheel studs.

They will fit under certain 18s - BBS E88, Fikse, Forgeline, some monoblocs and some others. It's a tight fit but it works. Your measurements have to be spot on and you have to be cognizant of the offset relative to the drop center of the wheel (and different brand barrels have different drop centers for the same width barrel). Used to have the same on my old 996tt with 18 Fikse FM10s and FM5s.

I have Fikse Profil 10s up front now and was looking for something different. I recently purchased the car and it came with the Fikse wheels on fronts and Victors on the rears. Original owner I guess couldn't wait for a replacement when he bent a rim. I may go ahead and order the Profil 10 wheels since I won't have a problem waiting the 6 weeks. Funny thing too is that I am in Langley ,BC for business now for a few days and just found out that their shop is a mile from where I'm staying. I sent an email to CCW and haven't heard back and Wheel Enhancement was going to send me so recommendations but haven't heard anything yet.

rgee27 I have a set of Fikse Profil 10 for sale but think the offsets are not right for your car. were recently resealed, retorqed and checked out fully, completely straight and do not leak.

Not sure why the PO was bending them, these are strong wheels. I did bend 2 inner rings but that was a nasty spin that caught the inside wheels on a curb on track (no other issues, glad wheels took it vs. other parts!). I had no idea they got bent util I swapped tires, and the bends weren't bad, but did replace with Fikse new parts/bolts.

I run Brembo type3 380 rotors with porsche factory pccb calipers on my 997.1 RS

I saw your wheels in the classifieds and thought the same. I ended up visiting the Fikse shop and saw the production process and spoke with them about concerns. I ended up ordering a new set of rears to match the fronts. I like the wheels I thought that made the most sense since I know they work.

Good to hear you got it all sorted. I forgot to mention that Alan is a great resource over at Fikse for parts, wheels, questions, etc. He's based in the US so am guessing you probably didn't meet him but a good resource for future reference.

I've got a couple sets of Fikses for my 6GT3 and that's all I run at the track. I've bent a couple inners from track incidents but they're actually very easy to replace and reseal assuming you have a torque wrench, patience, and order up the right adhesive / sealant. I haven't had any problems with them leaking after resealing either. Also, you can order barrels from Forgeline that fit (I had to go this route when Fikse was going through some troubles before getting acquired by Kodiak).
