Just a comment... my shop has installed the guard units in gt2, and I have one they installed in my gt3 (guard clubsport billet diff). There are a couple options for diffs. Rebuild stock one with guard ramps, get the cup part, get the guard part. There are people on the gt3 board who have all these options. If you are tuned and/or drive a lot on the track you might want to consider the heavier duty guard unit for durability. IIRC the cup and guard prices are similar.

If you are tracking you will immediately notice how much more stable under braking the car is and how much better it is accelerating out of corners. My car would slip and slide in tight corners and wiggle like crazy under heavy braking. No more with guard unit. Candidly I didn't notice a difference on the street.

The OS Giken is also a good option, works very well and you still have the OEM later for resale if needed.

Wow ok makes that much difference under pressure....
Reiterating on the street : you didn't notice anything ?
I have to say that anything that helps the GT2 more controllable is a winning ticket, Because the new 991 turbo is fast and just too easy to drive fast, taking a little fun out of it.
I wonder what times around the nurburg people are getting with these small mods ?

I have the Guard Billet Club Sport diff and it's been fantastic. I currently have about 60 track hours on it without any issues whatsoever. None. This is on a 550+hp application...

Yes thanks for the reminder... this is a good diff also. I bought the Guard clubsport full diff, not a rebuild, so I have my OEM diff in a box.

Call Matt on some options on rebuilding your existing diff off of your GT2. If your trans is apart...buy a new Guard unit.

The Guard unit is a billet case vs. cast of the OEM unit.

I did the ramps upgrade and I'm quite happy with it. Really helped with high speed braking.

That being said, if I were rebuilding my trans I'd put in the Billet unit like pwdrhound describes.

Best,
Henry
