Default NT01 sizes

Anyone running a Nitto NT01 315/30-18 and 235/40-18 setup on their 6GT3?

Diameters are virtually identical.

Comments?

Thanks

Really? My 235's are already rubbing the plastic.

That answer doesn't surprise me as 245's seems correct for the front with 315's on the back. Diameters are almost perfect.

+1 on the 245 NT01 fronts.

Related question. My 6GT3 came with an extra set of BBS wheels with 255/315 Hoosiers. Could the OEM front wheels handle 255 (NT01, Hoosier)?

Hmm... Maybe my Motons and -3 camber make a difference?
Do yours rub on the inside?

Could be, I'm -2.7. If yours is lowered maybe so.

There is a rumor on here somewhere the 315's interfere a little with the ABS. Doesn't make sense to me.

245's rub a little, but not horrible. There's one of the plastic pins in the fender liners you should just take out and throw away because it's never going to stay in place.

Sounds like you have alot of shims in the lower control arms. They move the caster value such that the fronts rub even with OEM setup.

With proper setup you can run a 255 hosier up front which is actually the size of a 275. Friend of mine and Rennlist member runs 285 hoosiers on the front of his car for Auto-x. Can't go near full lock with either of those setups.

Rubbing is directly related to your alignment.

You don't need -2.7 for nt-01s, but if you've achieved this through shimming the control arms only, you're rubbing due to increased caster.

I was a fan on -2.2/-2 f/r camber on my 996.

The 245 is the way to go.

245 is the way to go... with 315's of course, I assume.

235's with the stock 295's.

I have -2.7/-2.5 f/r, running on AD08 (245/295) or NT01 (245/315) I only have rubbing near full lock.
Never had a problem with needing to replace or remove fender liner.

Doesn't matter for this weekend - I have a spot of oil the size of a dinner plate on the garage floor... Maybe RMS, or sump line, or... Who knows, I looped it at around 90mph this weekend.

Looks like I will be in the 964 this weekend.

Tell us a bit more of what you think of the AD08's?

They seem to be an excellent choice as a good compromise between street / occasional track.

I liked the AD07s I had 2 years ago.
-2.8 front / -2.4 rear

Thanks

Craig
