They are terrific. I run them as do a number of buddies on here.

Alignment is 2.7 front, 2.5 rear, I run them 38R/35F hot pressures. They wear right at the wear diamonds.

Only reason I asked about changing to NT01's is if terrific is good, more terrific is better. Sounds like that commercial...

It is pretty cool that you have a Grand Prix White 996 GT3.. I always thought they only made Carrara White... Do you have any pic?!

I am not normally a big fan of white, but white GT3s are sweet. I have run both 245 and 235 up front.
My car may be a bit too low since the 245s eat up wheel liners. I can live with 235s up front.

Guys,
Now you've got me curious. I use Hoosier R6s on CCWs when it's dry, and I use Toyo 888s on my stock wheels to get to and from the track (very noisy) and on the track when it rains.
To replace the 888s;
-Does anyone know how the Nitto NT01s on stock wheels would perform in the rain compared to 888s?
-How would the Nitto NT01s handle street/highway use?
-And important, please tell me the Nitto NT01s are quieter than the 888s. Please?
You may chime in as to what sizes you'd use on the stock wheels as well.
Many thanks!

When it rains, I bet Michelin Pilot street tires would fare better than either R888 or NT-01s.

Regarding noise, NT-01s are louder than a typical street tire; however, not nearly as loud as the R888. I have put thousands of street miles on NT-01s on my old 996.

The nittos are pretty good in the rain when they have full tread. Once the rears wear down be careful in the wet. Painted lines will definitely make the rear step out. I've also put a lot of street miles on them with no issues. They are not nearly as noisy as the toyos. I just bought a set recently and for some reason they are quieter than the sets ive used in the past. This might be attributed to a more aggressive alignment im using now.

CFjan - sorry. You are correct its Carrera white. I must have been drunk...

Gran Prix white would be cool, it's brighter when side by side.

Hi,
Just spent two days at Le Circuit Mont Tremblant, it was supposed to rain and it did. I used standard sized half worn 888s only, in the rain and shine. As usual, rated OK but that's it. When they first came out I was able to use them to my advantage in all weather, no longer, there are options for a fast "all weather" tire for 6GT3s. I'm deaf from these tires, I'm thinking of the Nittos and because of your kind replies I'll seriously investigate that route. Thanks !
