So I had them pin everything they could get to without dropping the engine and install new hoses ...

No ... but while we were there ...

If I can prevent another wild ride I figured I should. I got off lucky.

All but 2 apparently. Those he used JB weld on.

We are replacing all the hoses and that stupid tie strap.

Per Karl Wilen (PorscheDoc here) - "You can get about 5-6 of these fittings with the motor in the car with enough work, but two are near impossible to do with the motor in, as the intake needs to come off, and the fittings are deep underneath that." He dropped my motor to fix the fittings but we were doing a lot of other work too.

By the way, very good knowledgeable mechanic for any out that way [ReensportKC, Grandview, MO] or need a PPI. Good guy as well - Very much enjoyed talking to him. Highly recommended.

Very cool Blog on his website too... my car is in there somewhere with good pics of the fitting locations (esp the deep ones).. http://rennsportkc.com/

Oh and OP thanks for the post!

Thanks for that Chris (the post, and the pinning).

Same hose damage happened to Marc G. at Mosport last fall. We hustled to the auto parts store between sessions, bought some hose and couplers, and manufactured a "new" hose for the afternoon sessions.

Chris, sorry I couldn't be your hero I thought I had all the hoses one would need for the 6GT3 but obviously I didn't have that one. Peter (1Gunner) had a good eye to spot that leak during the investigation stages.
