Default Clutch life

How long can I expect to get out of my OEM clutch?
Current at 30,000 miles and 30 track days.

Just trying to prepare for the upcoming season and have worked
on most repair concerns discussed here.

What are the replacement costs (best bang for the money)?
I will be looking for a track focused replacement.

I took my out with 57k miles and about 47 track days,
It looks very good at least for another 25k miles or 50 track days.

Each individual drives their car differently, blip vs no blip, fading into gear etc. also track days are the equivalent of a month or regular driving (IMHO).

We do a tear down after 30 hours on the clutch.

My 1st 3 was 20k miles but a lot of AutoX runs. The Current 6GT3 was 47k and I changed it when I did the coolant pipe fix. Mostly street miles. ***** out replacement is the 4.0RS clutch/flywheel for the lightest combo.

40,000 miles here and it's due. First owner did a lot of stop and go driving during his commute. Driving style and specific use will greatly impact it's life.

Are you doing much this year?

Is that a check or replacement. What kinds of car/clutch?

I just looked at the link and at the bottom of the page it suggests its only meant for 997 GT3s so be sure to confirm it will work on a 6GT3.

You cannot put a mileage on clutches, it is extremely driver dependent. Some kill a clutch in 10k, some make it last to 100k.

4.0 clutch is a big waste of money on a 996...

This is a 42k mile clutch disc with lots of track use. I removed it when building my 4 liter. Had no issues with it prior.

See the other LWFW thread. A member bought the 4.0RS kit from Suncoast and will be doing the install this week. So we will find out soon!
