Tom,

I second what Serge posted. Re track schedule are you doing NER Calabogie this year?

John,
I haven't decided yet. I did sign up for Mont Tremblant.
Do you like Calabogie?

All the 4.0 parts are more expensive and you'll spend a thousand bucks more for no benefit to you. Just get a standard clutch and LWFW. It's robust and proven.

The reason the 3.8 RS guys were getting 4.0 pressure plates is because their original ones with rivets blew up. In fact, the original 3.8 RS pressure plate has been superseded by the one used on the 4.0. So technically, its now just a plain old '997.2 RS clutch.'

The package price difference between the one from the 996RS and the one from 4.0RS (both from Suncoast) is $725. The difference in the list price is less than that, but the 996RS parts are discounted more.

The LWFW for the 4.0 kit is the flywheel from the 996 Cup.. and the clutch is more robust.. (whether we need that for our car or not, that's a different story.. as mentioned..) So whether having the lighter flywheel + the more robust clutch is worth the $725 or not, that's an individual call, I think..
