Lwfw worth it on gt2

Thanks for all the posts and feed back guys, it definately seems its a worth while mod so I'll certainly be doing this.
The only question now is though, do I get the 996 Rs part or the 996 cup/7.2 Rs and 4.0 part. The only other query I have is I have read somewhere else, can't remember where, about idling problems when the flywheel is to light, don't know if that's true or not, anyone know?
Cheers for the link John regarding the crank pulley, I'll be doing this as well as it makes sense while the engine is out.

I would personally use the 996 parts since they are proven and get the job done...unless you're tuned for substantially more power than stock.
There is a significant $$$ premium for the 4.0 parts, at least here in the US.

Certainly worthwhile unless you mind the audible chatter that comes with it. My friend has it on his high hp turbo and I like the increased eagerness to rev.
I would install the light aluminum pulley whether it's suggested or not. It's a cheap part and it will reduce the moment of inertia even further, which is the point of the LWFW in the first place.

Along with the cup cables/shifter I'm looking forward to hearing how it will sound.

Kevin @ UMW sells the entire package w/ RS (964) single mass FW. Nice chatter, well worth it.

I just bought the RS 4.0 kit from suncoast. Car gets dropped off next week for the kit, evoms pulley, and coolant fitting fix.
New tires, toe arms, and alignment after that and we'll be good to go.

Talked briefly with John (911slow) and pretty much came to the conclusion that it would be a direct fit.
Brought that info to my shop, who I didn't ask for info from before hand, they said "We do the 4.0 clutch upgrade all the time. As far as the Pulley, we use the Evolution Motorsports billet pulleys. They have a much deeper opening for the crank to prevent vibrations and walk-off... Make sure it (pressure plate) comes with it (the kit) and it has the bolts holding it together, not the rivets."

Which shop do you use, if you don't mind me asking.. (since you are at NY) Just curious..
The 4.0 kit should have the bolted together pressure plate, not the rivet type, correct?
