Default Exhaust Options (mufflers)???

I am wanting to add better exhaust sound to my newly acquired 05 GT3. I have read many threads online regarding this subject, but would like some current feedback.

I only want to change mufflers. There are 3 that I am interested in so far:

Fabspeed Maxflow
Cargraphic SUPER SPORT SOUND EXPORT VERSION
Supersprint Porsche 996 GT3 3.6 & RS Performance Mufflers

Based on what I have read and heard (sound clips) I am leaning towards cargraphic. I have not been able to find any sound clips of the supersprint so unsure how they sound.

Are there any other brands I should look at?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks
Andy

EDIT: Trying to stay around $2k or so for this modification. Also, I do not plan to track so weight savings is not a concern. I am just looking for a better sound ( a little more pronounced)Thanks

I had the Maxflows and sold them for $500 when I got my car back in the spring. The drone wasn't worth the sound up high.

You might want to check out Speedtech's latest as well as Militek's system.

Europipe !

One of the best sounding exhausts for a 996 GT3 .

You guys may disagree, but at this point I don't see the value in spending $5-7k on an exhaust system.

That's what the supersprint, milltek, cargraphic, and europipe will all cost.

I agree with not spending the big bucks just for sound alone, the only reason I would change out the mufflers for is to save weight but not if its going to make the car too loud for the tracks that I go to that have sound limits such as Tremblant. If any of these systems has a significant weight savings please share those numbers.

For weight savings, I would get 997 gt3 headers, center muffler, and side muffler delete pipes. Either cut up your bumper if it's a track rat or buy a cup bumper/getty replica.

You'll probably cut few pounds, centralize the mass, increase sound, and get better looks. You can do a sharky deflector if the sound is still too loud.

Thanks for the input. So far I am not a fan of the fabspeed.

The speedtech sounds really good but I don't see an option for just mufflers.

The Militek is sold as a whole system.

Sorry, should have stated earlier that I just want to change out mufflers as I don't want to tie up too much money with this project.

Just mufflers, try afterhours, lighter and more aggressive sound. I have them but not fitted yet, car is not back until late January to complete work. The guys at afterhours have been very helpfull, something that other manufacturers listed should take note of.

Oh, and europipe, although the best, will only supply whole system as they use larger diameter pipes.

I agree in spending that kind of money. I only want to change mufflers and I should be able to do that for about $2,000. Supersprint (1850) and Cargraphic (1400 + shiping)) for mufflers. The militek is sold as a system so it is not an option.

Hi,
this is a German Link. Look at the 2 Vids on dw-technik.
DW-Technik ist in Köln in Germany.
There are many Volumes available.
