Default Installed Max speed seat - now airbag light is on

Today is the my one week anniversary for my 2005 GT3 Arctic Silver metallic and my friend and I successfully installed the GMG harness bar and Maxspeed seats. Used and in very good condition.

I also installed shelves and added an addic in the garage this week so i can fit the GT3 and my 997.1 C4S Cab in the garage. Once everything is ready and cars washed, I will post photos.

After installing the seats, the airbag light came one. The seat belts were reinstalled and wires plugged into the respective plugs under each seat. However, the airbag light is on. The seat belt light works properly for driver side. No light for passenger.
Beside the obvious that I reconnected the wire incorrectly, is there something else I need to do to ensure the light turn off and that the airbag works properly?
Thank you for the help.

You may have plugged the wire under the seat in using the wrong orientation. It is a poorly designed plug. Just check it. Then, when the fault code is removed, the light will stay out.

Did you disconnect the battery before the install? If I had to guess I would say probably not. A Durametric will be able to clear the code, at least in my experience. If you don't have one, you should see what your local dealer or indie with a PIWIS wants to charge as it may be more cost effective to just buy a Durametric. If you clear the code and it comes back on again, then the plug is the in the wrong orientation.

Unless you have a good relationship with your dealer they usually charge around $200 for the diagnostic -- at least in my area. Durametric will probably be a similar cost and you can use it for the life of the car. Not to mention you can use the basic model on a total of 3 cars.

Thanks for all the advice. Dealer turned it off when I serviced it at no extra.
